Oh, Heavenly Oatmeal!

Oatmeal has to be one of my favorite breakfast items. Definitely a relatively new favorite, but a favorite. I prefer raw oats so I can put my own greatness into it. ;)

Here is the amazing oatmeal I had the other morning. It was fantastic!

Raspberry Raisen Oatmeal
- Cook oatmeal via directions on container.
- About 3 minutes after oatmeal has started cooking add 6 raspberries (fresh or frozen) and 1/4 cup of Raisens.
- Add a sugar and salt to taste and BAM! You have heavenly Raspberry Raisen Oatmeal.

On a side note, this blog hasn't begun as well as I had hoped. My puppy had an allergic reaction to something over the weekend, so my wife and I have been taking care of her. Good news though! This morning was the first morning in 4 days that she woke up and didn't have hives. That has to be a great sign, yes?

No worries though, I will get this blog up to par here soon. Until I do, enjoy the few posts I do post. :)

Good Day!

Hello fellow food allergenians!

I am new to this whole blog thing. But I recently (over the past year) discovered that I am allergic to dairy. Definitely something that had a major impact on my life. Once i stopped eating dairy, though, I felt significantly better. My health has gotten much better. My wife and I also discovered recently that she is allergic to Gluten. Do you KNOW how hard it is to find food that is not just gluten free, not just dairy free, but gluten AND dairy free? Let me tell you, it is very difficult due to the fact that most non-dairy food (vegan food, I just add meat when I cook it) is made up of prodcuts with major gluten. Very, very difficult.

Anyway,
I have a large interest in cooking and creating recipes. (I'm going to get a masters in Culinary arts and nutrition) therefore, this blog is going to have photos of the foods I make, with some including recipes! Everything from vegan to gluten free to dairy free with meat. And all kinds of deserts.  Also, probably some rambling from me from time to time. Haha

Enjoy and happy cooking!
